Faith That Demands Obedience

Speaker: Pastor Derrel Strickland

ScripturesHebrews 11:6, 2 Timothy 1:7-14, Acts 5:12-16, 2 Corinthians 7:8-11

Summary: Without faith we cannot please God. In order to please Him, we need a faith that demands obedience. We need more than a verbal or simple mental assent. We need a faith that propels us into action.

The Story

SpeakerPastor Derrel Srickland

ScripturesJohn 21:15-21, Matthew 14:22-33, Luke 9:46-55

Summary: Just as Peter and John had differences of personalities and different plans for their lives, so do we all. You have your story and I have my story. Together, they form our story, and if we are committed to writing our story as His Story this story will affect History.

You Can Count On God

SpeakerPastor Derrel Srickland

Scriptures1 Kings 19:15-18, 2 Kings 8:7-15

Summary: God told Elijah to anoint Hazel king. For some reason it appears that Elijah never fulfilled that responsibility. Hazael did not become king until he committed murder in 2 Kings 8:7-15. In that time span we find that God always honored His word. God used imperfect people to fulfill his will and God's timing is not always our timing.
