OAG has a thriving set of ministries for teenagers. We are a community of young people coming together to make a difference in our world. At OAG, students can experience God and learn about His purpose for their lives. Students are encouraged to get involved, fellowship and form life-long friendships.
Amplify Student Ministries
A ministry of Oxford Assembly of God, Amplify Student Ministries is a ministry to students (grades 6-12) and their families, and ministry by students. Our mission is to Win students by showing the love of Christ; to Build students by teaching the Word; and to Send students by answering the call of the Great Commission.
Amplify Student Ministries reaches out to students between 6th and 12th grades here in Oxford/Wildwood and beyond. It impacts the local Middle and High Schools and the surrounding neighborhoods to help them grow in the Word and help guide them into becoming a powerhouse for Jesus Christ. From Youth Rallies to Rise Conference, bonfires to Camps, there are many events to keep your spiritual growth alive and pumped for Jesus!
Youth Church - Sunday Nights from 5:30-8pm in the gym
Our main event every week is our Youth Service. We open the gym at 5:30pm and let the students come and hang out for about half an hour. At 6pm we have group prayer, and at 6:15pm we start our Youth Service. Designed from the ground up with teens in mind, this is a Church Service just for them. We have games, videos, and a cafe. But, more importantly, we have a Youth Band for live worship, and a Bible Study. It's a great time hanging out in the presence of God and learning about His Word.
Club 612 - Friday night from 6-9pm in the gym
It was our observation that there wasn't much to do around here for students on Friday nights except perhaps get into trouble, so we opened up our church gym to give them a safe place to hang out and play basketball. Around 7:30 or so we stop and do a short devotion and prayer before we get the games going again. There is usually a free snack, and our cafe offers sodas and other snack foods for purchase. This is our foot in the door of the lives of students who may not come to church for a Bible Study.
For more information, contact our church office, or Pastor Daniel at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sunday School - Sundays @ 9am
Sunday School is great place for teens (we have classes for kids and adults too) to learn the Word of God. This program is a little-bit more laid back with the purpose of really learning what is in the Bible. The Sunday School classes are divided by grade level. Sunday School takes place at 9am on Sunday mornings between the two regular worship services.
Royal Rangers - Wednesdays @ 7pm
The Royal Rangers includes groups of boys from Ranger Kids (there are kids classes as well as teens) to Expedition Rangers. Our classes are designed to reach young men Godly guidance throughout their growing years. We encourage these boys to reach beyond their expectations by participating in activities in and outside of our own church family. Those activities include Sectional Round-Up and District Pow Wow, which gives the boys the opportunity to gain a closer relationship with God. Other activities include proper technique and safety training in outdoor skills and building items, such as cars for our annual Pinewood Derby, where the boys get an opportunity to race. We are always scouting for new Rangers.
Girls Ministries - Wednesdays @ 7pm
As a part of the Girl’s Ministries, we have all groups from Rainbows to Girls Only (preschool to high school). Our classes revolve around helping our young ladies learn about God, life, and many areas of growing into a “Woman Of God”. Activities throughout the year include: camping, the national sleep over, as well as our annual ladies tea party. Our girls also participate in Coin For Kids, which is the missionary project the girls ministries supports. Our ladies hold a Men’s Talent Show to help raise funds for missions. As you can see, they are very active and dedicated to learning about Jesus, as well as helping others around the world.
