Thank You, Timothy
Preached to: Middle & High School Students
Speaker: Pastor Amanda Hahn
This week in Amplify Youth, we celebrated our incredible Timothy Helpers—students who served faithfully all semester during W.O.C. and became true examples of 1 Timothy 4:12 in action. Their commitment, kindness, and consistency turned W.O.C. into real ministry, impacting kids, families, and our entire church. Although the program is ending for the semester, their calling isn’t—God is inviting them to keep serving, growing, and leading. We commissioned them to “fan into flame” the gifts God has placed in them and encouraged them to stay connected through Wednesdays and our upcoming Zoned Out discipleship retreat. This is just the beginning of what God is doing in and through them.
Keep up with all that’s going on at Amplify Youth, including dates, times, sign-ups, and forms, on our main page.

🍽️ Night 1 — “Your Serving Matters”
Scripture: 1 Timothy 4:12 (NLT) — “Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers…”
Conversation Starters:
How did you see this verse in action while serving during W.O.C.?
In what ways do you think your example influenced younger kids or your peers?
When did you feel proud of yourself for stepping up and leading?
What’s one way you can continue being an example this week?
🍽️ Night 2 — “Fan the Flame”
Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:6 (NLT) — “Fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you…”
Conversation Starters:
What gifts or abilities do you think God is growing in you right now?
What does “fanning the flame” look like in your everyday life?
How can you let God grow your faith during Zoned Out next week?
Who in your life encourages your gifts the way Paul encouraged Timothy?
🍽️ Night 3 — “Faithfulness Over Fame”
Scripture: Matthew 25:23 (NLT) — “Well done, my good and faithful servant…”
Conversation Starters:
What is one small act of faithfulness you did at W.O.C. that God saw, even if others didn’t?
Why do you think God values faithfulness more than being noticed or praised?
What area of your life do you feel God calling you to be more faithful in?
How can you stay faithful in youth group—even when W.O.C. isn’t happening?

INTRO
Tonight is our night to honor our Timothy Helpers.
You showed up tired, stressed, hungry, busy—and still served faithfully.
W.O.C. wasn’t just a program; it was ministry, leadership, and the heart of Jesus.
We call you Timothy Helpers because Timothy was Paul’s young disciple—faithful, teachable, and willing.
“Paul had Timothy… and I have you.”
POINT 1: Your Service Mattered More Than You Know
Supporting Scripture: 1 Timothy 4:12
You made kids feel safe and loved.
Parents trusted sending their children.
Younger students looked up to you.
Leaders relied on your consistency.
This wasn’t babysitting.
👉 This was kingdom work.
POINT 2: God Honors Faithfulness, Not Fame
Supporting Scripture: Matthew 25:23
God sees your faithfulness in:
Showing up
Doing small tasks
Serving when no one sees
Being kind when tired
Helping when it’s inconvenient
Many of you lived this out beautifully.
👉 Faithfulness is what God celebrates.
POINT 3: Your Calling Doesn’t End — It Continues
Supporting Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:5–7
W.O.C. is ending for now, but your ministry is not.
Timothy didn’t serve for a season—he lived a lifestyle of serving.
Your next steps of leadership:
Zoned Out: Grow in discipleship & serve through pecans, teacher gifts, widow baskets.
Wednesday Nights: Don’t come only when you’re serving—YOU belong here.
Youth Takeover showed you’re ready to lead now, not someday.
👉 God wants to keep using you—keep the flame burning.
